Alex Temblador

Alex Temblador is the Mixed Latinx author of Secrets of the Casa Rosada and the upcoming novel, Half Outlaw. Her creative works have appeared in Palabritas and Colorado Review, as well as anthologies like Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America and Speculative Fiction for Dreamers: A Latinx Anthology. She has received accolades like the 2019 NACCS Tejas Foco Young Adult Fiction Award, MG/YA Discovery Prize Winner of the Writers League of Texas Book Awards 2018, and Kirkus Reviews’ Best of YA Books 2018. As the founder of LitTalk at Interabang Books, Alex moderates panel discussions with Dallas-Fort Worth authors throughout the year.
Alex teaches creative writing with WritingWorkshops.com and the Writer’s League of Texas. She is also an award-winning freelance writer that covers travel, the outdoors, design, art, and diversity issues. Her articles have appeared in the likes of Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Outside, National Geographic, TripAdvisor, Dwell, The Daily Beast, Texas Monthly, among many others.
